Well this is one of those flights that everyone complains about so I was a little worried. The plain was a 2 class configuration Boeing 777. That means no first class to make room for extra Economy class seats, on did I mention that the 777 is the longest passenger jet out there? This baby can hold 380 oblivious call button pressers. The crew were nice, and once again the Captain was Canadian (4 out of my 5 flights for those keeping track) I was assigned door Right 3. Basically in the middle of the plane. There 15 cabin crew on bored and I had seniority over 3 of them… not that impressive until you consider that I have only been flying for not even a month! The company is growing so quickly that this, apparently, is not uncommon.
The flight was overnight, leave at 16:45, back by 01:05 the next morning. The flight time was just under 3 hours there and under 2 on the way back… can you imagine trying to feed a clean up after 380 people in under 2 hours? It was a controlled pandemonium. And the passengers had know idea the time constraints we were under. The good thing was the time flew by.

The only point of interest was the 30 or so deportees being shipped from Saudi Arabia to Ethiopia. All these poor guys were dressed in the same long white shirts and sandals. It was kinda strange to see them fill a section of the plane. They seemed to be in good moods so I wasn’t to worried.
It is a really interesting mix of people on these planes. A real blend of cultures and ethnicities. You have a guy in traditional Afghan attire sitting beside a “businessman,” and a woman in tradition African dress. The other cool thing was that I was able to fly with Jennifer, whom was in my training class, great girl, but she was assigned a place in the back of the plane so I didn’t see her that much. Well I have 4 days off and then I am off to DME (Moscow!) So stay tuned for the further adventures of Lionel!
(Sorry, no photos again, but more from Russia... I promise.
