Of the second journey to Kentucky
From Horse country in Richmond, United States on Jul 05 '06
So my second trip to see my friend was shorter, but the drive was a little better because we took my mother's car, since my brother was going with my parents to Indiana.
My friend and I spent more time in her house this time, mostly cleaning. Raising two children by yourself doesn't exactly give you much time to do such things. This way though, I got to spend time with the kids and she actually got stuff done. Her sister and I got to spend some time together and things were just so nice.
On the way home we saw the signs for a lot of historical sites, which I really wanted to stop at, since I am a history major, but since we left Kentucky at 9:00 pm, we couldn't stop. Maybe next time.
I know we did more things, like our usual trip to Wal-Mart, but right now I'm so scatter-brained trying to figure out my next trip up there that I can't remember straight. She just called me too, telling me she's moving from Richmond to Frankfurt, which means I actually get to see her more often, since I'm starting to make trips to Iowa and we pass through Frankfurt on our way. But I will come back and add more to this as I remember.
