Day 83 - Lazy Boy

18.17 – The only thing I have done today is be a lazy bastard! I got up, did all the usual shite and then I sat down to watch the TV. Little did I know that this would be practically all I would be doing for the rest of the day. Guido went off to the orchards to work for his food and accommodation. I was offered this option but I declined as it sounds boring and tedious work. Instead, I watched film after film, programme after programme with Flo who was also in a ‘can’t be arsed’ mood! We ate as well. We hardly stopped eating in fact, there was nothing better to do. I did a few bits and pieces i.e. read and write but in general there was nothing much to do. The weather was pretty crappy, it didn’t rain but it was overcast for most of the day. It was too cold to go kayaking or swimming so we were confined to the house. There was no Kiwi bus due today so we spent the evening the same way as the rest of the day watching TV. When Guido got back, things were a little better as we could talk for a while but that didn’t last long. Everyone who was here over the last few days has gone now due to the end of the school holidays tomorrow. That means there will be even fewer people to talk to! When at last we had watched all the films we could bear, we turned in at 00.45.
