The rainy season in Quito

We arrived in Quito today in the afternoon.  So far so good. Our rep from Klein Tours was at the airport to meet us and transfer to our hotel.  Robert (probably Roberto, but feels he needs to give us the English version) gave us a fact of Quito, 2 million people, high altitude, etc.  After that we went to lunch which was hilarious.  We ordered Cheese pizza, but is came out with hot dogs on it.  They must have run out of Coca-Cola light and had to run to the store to get it.  The service was weird, asking if we wants plates and napkins to eat our pízza on, so much more.  Overall hilarous but as far as the food goes I wouldn't recommend.  After lunch we walked the city a little then headed back to the hotel. Pretty tired from the altitude and last 3 weeks. We took naps and are off to dinner.

Quito is super green with huge mountains, volcanos surrounding it. The architecture is pretty unimpressive, very boxy structures.  So far friendly people. Tomorrow we go the the Galapagos Islands. Hopfully more interesting things to tell.

lunch which was hilarious
