No stop required at the border.  The main clue we had left Sweden was the dramatic change in house colour. Red suddenly seemed much less popular.  Norway is where I had the most expensive pizza (19.50 CAD for individual plate size), and did the most expensive load of laundry (3.50 CAD) in my life. Neither were anything beyond average.

Outdoor skating rinks were abundant and well used (unlike the one in central stockholm), but the skate rentals ended too early in the evening for us to take advantage of it.  We visited both the Norsk Teknisk Museum and the Gustav Vigeland sculpture park.  Then caught the most amazing sunset from the harbour fortress walls before walking through the downtown core.  The streets were certainly more lively and loud than Stockholm, with music played live by buskers and on speakers from many shop entry ways.  The church bells could be heard every half hour.  The police were also more prevelant.  I think I prefer Stockholms grandfatherly charm to Oslo's rambunctious energy.
