We travelled back up the Nile Valley by train to the tourist mecca of Luxor, which boasts some impressive city sites in the form of Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple. Luxor is also situated across the Nile from the Necropolis, a conglomeration of the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the Tombs of the Nobles. We tracked around in the intense Egyptian heat, poking our heads into tombs and combing through ancient colonnades until we began to experience "temple fatigue". The sheer amount of history in the Nile Valley is almost overwhelming, and it is truly amazing.
