10 days and counting

I know that my trip is still more than a week away but i am excited so i've started to get everything ready.  Of course, i won't actually pack my suitcase until a couple of days prior to departure.

For the last week or so everything seemed to be going wrong.  Something always happened and messed things up.  Finally, today things began to fall into place.  I was extremely nervous about getting my visa on time.  I know it's my fault for waiting so long but i just never had time to go get my picture taken.  Anyway, i sent out the application on Thursday and began to hope beyond hope that it would be processed quickly and sent back soon.  Alas, today i got a confirmation that my passport arrived safely at my house. The second good thing that happened today was that i was able to buy a case for the bass guitar i will be taking with me.  I was under the impression that "Guitar Center" didn't have those cases in stock at the store so i had to order it online.  I was going to order it today but for some reason i stopped by the store and to my surprise they had just received them over the weekend. I think this is a good sign that things will work out somehow.  Anyway, i have to get back to making a list of all the stuff i still need to buy to be ready for May 10th.
