This is my first time to go out on a road trip and also my first time in Baguio City.  It has been my dream place.  My husband Arvin came to Baguio several times already.  He knows the place very well.

We board the Victory Liner at half past 7 in the morning.  We were supposed to board Philippine Rabbit but then again there was a long queue and there's no bus available yet.  Since it's getting late already my husband and I decided to go to Victory Liner in Pasay, hoping to catch the last trip.  Luckily we were able to get the ticket going to Baguio.  We started our journey at around 9 am.  It was supposed to be a 6 hour bus ride but because of the holidays, traffic jam and stop-overs for a quick bite and call of nature, it took us almost 8 hours to reach Baguio.

It was so warm not the kind of coolness I'm expecting.  We have to look for a place to stay before we plan to explore Baguio.  Like I said, my husband knew the place so much, we were able to book ourselves in Mountain Lodge.  After unpacking our stuff and rest for a bit we decided to go to SM Baguio which was just built 2 months ago.

There's so many people at SM like always.  We couldn't find a nice place to eat.  So after buying a few essentials we decided to explore the city and probably find a nice restaurant or fast food to eat.  We were so hungry.  It's a good thing there's Chowking Restaurant nearby.  It has always been our favorite fast food.  They really served the best Halo halo (yeah right in Baguio!?), pancit guisado (my favorite) and pork siomai (my husband's favorite).  After our hefty lunch/dinner we head further and explore the city.

First stop is Our Lady of Lourdes or Lourdes Grotto, by far this has the longest staircase heading to the church itself.  It was very tiring but it's all worth it.  There's a lot of people posing in front of the church for picture taking.  Of course, we have to take ours too and find ourselves into the crowd for photo session.  After enjoying the beauty from the top, my husband took me to Burnham Park.  Quite famous on the strip of Baguio.  There's a lot of people, couples, students, families etc who were enjoying the 30 minute boat ride in the river at Burnham Park.

On our second day, we went to Philippine Military Academy to visit Eduard, Arvin's classmate and also in his third year at the Academy.  Arvin was supposed to be in PMA also but he wasn't able to make it because of the color blind exam which he failed.  Too bad though if he's in the Academy, I wonder if we would still end up marrying each other.  But I know God will make a way.  There's a lot of people inside PMA.  We took photos while waiting for Eduard whose currently falling in line outside the lobby of PMA under the afternoon sun.  At last after 1 hour of parading and soaking themselves the officers went for a break.  Eduard came and talked to us for a long long time.  As I find myself looking at the PMA Gallery, the two boys catching up for the lost time, I realized that being in the PMA is quite hard, sometimes painful as they say, but all worth it.   I remember going through my CAT/NOQC days in high school.  How hard it is just to pass the test what more if you're really in the big thing .. PMA.  I'm truly grateful of how my husband is today.  I know this is what God's plan for him.

After our PMA tour, we decided to go back to the City.  We took a taxi going to Chowking again, for our brunch.  We ordered some siomai for take out to sustain another 6 long hours of bus ride going back to Pasay then another 2 hours going back to Imus Cavite, my home town.  There's a lot of native delicacies like broas, lengua (my father's favorite), sweet peanuts sold at the bus station.  I can't help but buy several as pasalubong to my family.  The bus left at around 8pm.  Hopefully we'll reach Pasay as early as 2am.  I'm not used to sleeping during travel that's why I decided to just sit there and enjoy the view from outside.  My husband was too tired and eventually fell asleep.  We reached Pasay at around 5am already since there were road works in the Super Highway until Valenzuala.  Good thing we were on leave so we didn't have to come to the office early.  We were so tired.  Soon as we're back home and finished giving our pasalubong to my parents and sister and her family, my husband and I sleep all through the rest of the day wearing smiles on our faces lingering on the memories of our late honeymoon and of course our experience in Baguio.
