My classmate living in Honolulu picked me up at the airport, which has few air-conditioned areas.  We first dropped by the USS Arizona Memorial-probably one of the few worthy places to visit in Honolulu.  There was an exhibit, along with a short film at the visitor center.  Before long, we were taken by small navy boats to the Memorial, which sat atop of the sucken battleship.  The ride took about 3 mins.  We then proceed to Waikkiki and Diamond Head.  It was 2p and traffic was as bad as Atlanta's I-285 during rush hours.

United offers many widebody flights using 767-300 and 777-200 to/from Hawaii-however, all of them are of domestic configurations, so even if you can upgrade, you will end up in a domestic F seat, which isn't really that comforting.  The only consolation is the Mai Tai and most crews working on those flights are Asians and more friendly than the domestic runs.  I will be going back in October, we'll see what's changed.
