Paris really did meet my expectations.. I love this town :)
Especially Montmarte... I've been seriously waiting SO long to see Montmarte! I used to read everything about Montmarte.. and the life there many years ago. Like, the life at Moulin Rouge - with La goulou and Jane avril, the famous dancers at moulin rouge that was a favored motive of artists such as Thoulose Lautrec. Picassos early works were done in Montmarte, were he lived, and meet his lover Fernande here.
Paris has sacre cour and montmarte- hence it rocks..

Well, I was too old to hope for a time travelling machine at the time I was overly facinated with Montmarte and the bohemians.. But, one can always try to imagine the atmosphere here at that time :)
Another aspect of Paris thats magical for me , is that the book by Victor Hugo and famous musical - Les Miserables took place in larger parts in Paris.. As im sure some know.. Eponine is one of the characters in Les miserables. She has a tragic story, so sad.. but so touching! I saw les mis when i was like 8.. and think i tortured my family by singing songs from les mis untill i was in my teens LOL (I got so many photos of me as a kid dressed out as eponine, cosette, fantine.. lol.. >_<). A couple of years ago, my uncle was playing the violin in Les mis... and I was able to meet alain boubil and jean michel schonberg who are producers of Les miserables the musical.

Anyway, imagine all the years, with montmarte facination and les mis facination combined.. How much Ive been spending time daydreaming about paris LOL!
Sitting outside sacre cour... Looking over the city... WOW... Its seriously such a special experience :)
Everywere is so beautiful.. the area around Notre dam.. Wonderfull.. louvre.. wow again... Luxenburg park.. everywere is just so magical!
Another thing is the people here. Theyre really open and friendly. The guys, maybe a bit too open and friendly LOL!
But, like I said.. Ive never experienced this stereotypical way of cliche flirting before.. Wich was kind of funny. Seeing as I thought it was just a myth.. or just a rumour lol. But they will seriously pull out chairs for you, and put hankerchiefs over small poodles of waters, and on benches lol.. Untill you pretend you got a boyfriend, then they suddenly have to go home :P
Anyway, i seriously need to go back here someday.. No doubt :D
