  1. Verona was a really cool city.  There were a lot of different things there.  We started off going to the old castle and went into the museum Carlo Scarpo designed there.  I wasn't expecting it to be that great from looking at it from the outside, but it was so cool inside.  There were so many spaces to explore, it was like a treehouse.  There was a lot of layering going on in the design.

Then we went to the Colosseum (L'Arena) and then walked to the main square before splitting for lunch.  I skipped lunch and went to Juliet's house (from Romeo and Juliet).  It was so crazy there...there were so many people and they were pretty rowdy.  Along the entrance to the courtyard, people write love notes or just their name and their significant other.  So, of course I had to follow suit.

Next, I went to the Santa Anastasia church before meeting up with everyone else.  We all went to the S. Zeno Cathedral, which is the biggest Romanesque church in N. Italy.  It was beautiful and we got to go inside too.  Finally, we got back in the bus for Parma.
