Tovah and I headed straight to the tourist information center after dropping our stuff at the hostel.  There we asked about how we could get to the Knysna (pronounced Nyz-na) Heads, which are these beautiful cliff faces.  One of the "heads" has huge houses on it, while the other one had nothing built on it.  The lady there told us we would have to take a taxi that would come to around 100 Rands each way!  We knew that was out of the question so we asked if they had the minibus "taxis" that we had taken in Swaziland.  She told us no, so we decided to walk after being told we were crazy since it was about 7 km each way.

The walk was beautiful!  Knysna is made up of harbors and rolling hills/mountains that is all very green.  Getting caught up in the scenery, we missed the turn for the brewery that Tovah was very interested in visiting (as she spent the last 5 or so months bartending at a microbrewery in Madison, WI).  We got the Knysna Heads and relaxed for awhile admiring the views.  Tovah thinks it looks a lot like San Francisco...I wouldn't know.

On our walk back we picked up the pace hoping to make it to Mitchell Brewery before it closed (at 5 pm).  We managed to get there (red faced and winded) at 5:10 pm, but got very lucky.  The owner Dave was still there having a few drinks with friends, and they invited us in and immediately poured us a glass of one of their micro brews.  After talking with them for a while, and trying each of the 6 beers, Dave was kind enough to give us a lift back to town so we didn't have to walk the remaining 5 or so km!

While Knysna was a gorgeous place that I would have liked to have spent some more time in, we weren't feeling our hostel, and still had so much more to see before reaching Cape Town.  So... we hopped on the Baz Bus the next afternoon and headed to Hermanus.
