Bangkok on first glimpse was nothing but hazey and foggy. I thought it was overcast. It wasn't. It was smoggy. Very very smoggy. But once you get in amongst the crowds and the buildings, you don't even notice it, there's SO many buildings, that you can't see for more than a few blocks at a time anyway. Check out the pics, I'll put in an example of what I'm talking about.
The markets are just beyond description. Kristy got lost in the labrynths of the markets right next to the hotel. It took her about an hour to find her way back out of the rows and rows of markets inside the buildings and to follow the road back to the hotel. She ended up walking around the outside of the block so she didn't get lost again. And she's usually very very good with directions.
Oh my god, what an awesome dining experience!!

We went to the Banyan Tree Hotel, to their Vertigo Restaurant.

Oh my god, what an awesome dining experience!! Make sure you wear something...more than casual, and you'll fit right in. It's a really really classy restaurant & bar. You can go up there for a really really romantic dinner (if you're not too fussed by heights) or just a quick drink @ the bar whilst taking in the scenery. They even take complimentary photo's if you're a nitwit like me and forget your camera.

Another good place to visit is James Fashions. We had 7 full suits made up, with buisness shirts, and the 5 suits kristy had made up were skirts, pants, jackets. All for $2100 australian. They do drive a very hard bargain, and DO be prepared to walk away if the prices they're offering aren't to your liking, but they do a fantastic job. There's tonnes of tailors in Bangkok, but James Fashions was a recomendation from a friend. Very happy with the service we got and the quality of the suits and shirts is damn good considering the cost.
