Nothing symbolizes the West to me more than Arches Nat'l Park.  With its' cartoon-like landscapes and desert heat, it has been my favorite park to date.  This has to be the place where Road-Runner is based.  It's not cold here either.  Doesn't look like it ever rains.  I'm told that this park was all under water several times, but lost my attention span when the park rangers started talking Geology.  Anne and I have noticed some interesting names while driving through this desolate land:  Devil Canyon, Goblin Valley, Fiery Furnace, Devil Lookout, Devil's Garden, Dirty Devil River, Dead Horse State Park, and Hell's Backbone to name a few.  This is the Wild Wild West to me.  bkh..

To me, Canyonlands was like a small version of the Grand Canyon.  It was rocky, dry, hot, and buggy.  To tell you the truth, it wasn't really anything special.  There was one impressive arch with an enormous drop off, and through it you could see for about a billion miles.

I got a birthday shower!

On a more exciting note, we stayed in a hotel in Moab for the first time on this trip.  I got to take a shower on my birthday!
