Sticky, hot, and wet. Death to Death Valley.

Back in Mountain Time.

"look at all those rich people, they are going to say: "What is the fat kid doing in the pool? He is going to drink all the water!"

Tired, and we didn’t do much, so I will make this entry brief.

We drove down the mountains and into the desert again today. We are worried about the suspension on the car, and keep bottoming out. So now we have this odd phobia of inclines at gas station pull ins.

The blistering heat made us feel like Velcro to our seats.  It seemed to take forever to get back to the St. George area where we are staying tonight.

We were disappointed because we wanted to go through death valley, but a couple things changed our mind. First, it was over 110 in death valley, second we could not get our oil changed in the town of Ridgecrest, because everyone was backed up 3 weeks. Third, we worried the suspension would give out and we would be stranded in the middle of a desert. So unfortunately we did not get to see any ghost towns or the desert today.

In st. george, gas is about the price it is at home (2.92) today so that made us happy. We also found lodging at the Hilton for a decent amount. It is by far the best hotel we have stayed in yet. Steve and I explored this little town looking for rum for adam, which we did not find tonight. Other then that we did not do much.

Steve really wants to find jobs here, but there does not seem like anything I could do here.
