This is the first part of an experiment we're doing in science class. We've trapped about 15 fruit flies in each jar and put half a banana in each as well. The experiment is going to show just how fast these guys multiply!

Tonight was quite an adventure - I went downtown by myself to a meeting at church!

It had been storming in the afternoon, and I knew I wasn't going to go if it was still raining (because of all the walking from the LRT station to the church). So I prayed that, if God wanted me to go, the rain would stop. And it did! I hailed a cab outside my house (none were available on the phone), and I was on my way!

The meeting was held by the MYAF (Methodist Young Adult Fellowship), and the topic was prayer and spiritual warfare, which seemed like it could be really interesting. Though the speaker was a little hard to understand and stood in my view of the PowerPoint slides a bit, I still gleaned a lot from the session, and I'll definitely be going back!

It's really creepy...kind of like Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds." There must be about fifty fruit flies in this jar! And it's only been a week!!

After the meeting I got to talking with some of the other attendees, and a gal invited me to get some dinner with her. She even offered to drive me home!

We went to Secret Recipe (a GREAT place if you like cheesecake, which I do!) and ate and talked for a long time. I really enjoyed my time with her! She's a dietician, so I wonder where that will lead our conversations. It seems all very God-ordained, and I'm excited about having a friendship with her!
