The cathedral itself was a wonderful place, but the town... oh the town.  I'd really love to go again, with the exception of the horrific long bus ride.  The town was quaint on the going in, then later became quite commercial and typical for a larger area city (with stores like TopShop and H & M, etc).  In the cutesy shopping areas I bought a pair of "vintage" shoes and Yeatso and I ate lunch in a cute cafe -- where we each had lovely Panini.

The cathedral was absolutely wonderful, and the tour guide really wanted to show us everything, so we had a longer than usual tour (about 1.5 hrs!).  It was not only historic, as it is very old, but the place has the "Black Prince" buried there, and a lot of people often made pilgrimages to Canterbury Cathedral.  All I knew about Canterbury was really about "Canterbury Tales."  But now I know a lot more, or at least I hope so.
