Arrived in Hong Kong (3 Feb) for our overnight stay to break up the flight to Vancouver.  Left the baggage at the airport and proceeded to get the bus to Hakka's Guest House on Nathan Road.    When we arrived the guy remembered  us from the last visit!

Hong Kong was surprisingly cold and everyone was wearing jumpers.  Everyone but us - coz ours were still at the airport.  We spent the night  exploring the Temple Street Markets and Nathan Road trying to find a mobile phone (Shar) and a the latest and greatest MP3 player (IAUDIO X5 60gb - Wingy).  Did not have any luck with either - but had fun buying nick nacks at the market.

Next morning caught the train to the Island in search of more mp3 players.  Had given up on the phone by this stage.  Couldn't find the mp3 we were after - but bought a mcuh cheaer version for "wingy snow tunes" and decided to get the video/photo job in the States.  Wandered the streets some more and found an egg tart shop that apparently makes the best egg tarts in Hong Kong.  Wingy  bought one, scoffed in, and before we got to the end of the street went back to join the queue to buy an entire box!  Must be good!

Time to go to the airport.

Left thinking how good the transport was in HK.  Everything colour coded, efficient and very easy.  You can even check your bags in at the central train station and they magically appear at the airport.  No lugging baggage onto the train, no ticket checkers and you can't get in or out unless you have paid exactly the right fare.

Wingy got us in to the first class lounge in HK (coz he is Platinum FF) which he was very pleased about.  More freebies....  and you just ask the waiter for whatever freebie you want and he scuttles off and brings it  back - they will even cook whatever noodles, sushi or chinese that you ask for!

Almost forgot - all of the police bikes in Hong Kong were VFR's (Same as W's) -so we had to take a photo.

Next stop:  Vancouver - 11 hours away over the Pacific Ocean...
