This morning we slept in a bit and of course were starving by the time we got up. We went straight to Melissa’s, a local favourite breakfast spot for some grub. After that we toured around Banff a bit which was completely under construction and a total disaster. We fought our way to the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel and golf course, both of which were wonderful. It was blistering hot so we asked some locals where they swim. They pointed us to the “Banff Beach” which was actually a little lake with no sand and the water was 5 degrees. We took two artic dips and were cooled off.

Next it was off to Kananaskis country to experience their incredible golf course. They actually have 36 holes there, the Mount Kidd and Mount Lorette courses rated 26th and 45th in Canada respectably. We managed to arrange to play the front 9 of each course in order to get a taste of them both. Then Jim the Marshall took us on a tour of some of the other scenic holes that we missed (Thanks Jim!)

The course was absolutely awesome and the service fantastic! After our game we drove about an hour back to Banff and arrived around midnight after a short tour of Canmore looking for an open gas station.
We made a quick fire to use of the last of our smore supplies and then it was off to bed. Hard to believe that we’re halfway through the trip already.
