Well, we left Savannah this morning and traveled across the state to Macon, and then ventured off onto State Highway 23 (our magic number!) over to the little town of Juliette, Georgia. There, we ate lunch at the Whistle Stop Cafe, made famous by the movie Fried Green Tomatoes. Jessie had some of their famous veggies and Ben had some Georgia barbecue and real southern Sweet Tea! We've got the pictures to prove it. The town is a quaint, back-roads place, sitting right by the train tracks. It really does look just like it did in the movie ... with a few modern additions (hooray for air conditioning!). Despite their sign on the door encouraging folks to take their time and stay awhile, we had to get going. More of Georgia to see!

A tasty Southern treat.

From there, we went on to downtown Atlanta, where we drove by the Georgia Dome and then Turner Field, where the Braves were getting ready to battle the Cardinals. Afterward, it was time to head to Jessie's dad's house, for our first home-cooked meal since leaving Texas! We had a nice evening of eating and relaxing, catching up with family and showing some of our trip video which is up to 4 hours now. Tomorrow we plan to visit Kennesaw Mountain and see its Civil War battlefield, followed by an evening at Stone Mountain (as long as the weather cooperates).

Hey Kiddos - You have a fan base! Lots of people at work are following your journal! Make up some stuff about Big Foot and the alien pods hidden at Stone Mountain. (Bad idea - your real-life adventures are highly entertaining!) -- Miss you, xoxox Mumzee
