Hello everyone,

I have alot to update so i am going to be quite brief and just dribble shit under the photos when i add them all (in 8 days). So here is how Tuscany went.

We first went to a place just out of Florence called camping Girasole. It was the same chain of campgrounds as those that we stayed at in Venice and Rome and Florence too, after Girasole. We were a little disappointed when we realised we were so far out of Florence but we decided to just stay for 2 nights and make the most of it. The first night we met another aussie girl called Mikhala and drank with her for a while then made hamburgers on our U-Beaut little gas cooker that we brought in Rome. We were sitting around and decided to go on a wine tour of the Cianti region the next day because after 3 weeks in Italy we all consider ourselves to be wine afficionados (even though we drink the one's from the supermarket that cost only between 2 and 3 Euro!).

So we had a sleep in from too much drinking again then went for a wonder around the campsite which had 3 swimming pools and wine tasting and a gym and all that jazz, which was nice, then got ready for the wine tour at 2. It turned out to be really cool coz our mates Lauren and Adam who we met in Venice were staying at the same place and came with us also. So Me, Shane, Ashleigh, Ben, Mikhala, Lauren and Adam all piled onto this bus and went out to some of the most beautiful places i have ever seen in my life! We tasted some REAL red wine (which even shane drank!) and sat 'under the Tuscan sun' getting slightly tipsy. After the wine tour we went and wandered around the gorgeous little town that was near by, tasted some more wine, drank a huge pint of beer each then got back on the bus even more tipsy! It went for about 5 hours all up and we all got happy all for 15 Euros each which is pretty rare in Italy!

Me and Jim. It really was too long between drinks.

That night we decided to buy this disposable bbq thing because we were all drunk and we really missed aussie bbq's and thought it would be cool to do our own. It wasnt bad but it just wasn't quite right. still meat is meat and i hadnt eaten anything but bread, paninis, pizza and gelatis for about 3 weeks! Did i mention that i found a bottle of Jim Beam at this campsite! the first bottle i had seen since leaving england! I nabbed it and drank alot of it. It was all gone by the next morning which was good coz i didnt want to carry it with me to florence.

Ou piss-poor atempt at a bbq!

So... Florence was also really cool because again we got to stay at one of our most loved campsite-chains in the world, this time at Camping Michealangelo. The views from our campsite were unbelievable, you could see the whole of florence from the terrace bar. We spent the first day doing some market shopping and hunting for a place to change travellers cheques then Ash and Ben taught Shane and I how to play poker up at the bar. I won!

The next day we went to see big Dave aka Michealangelo's David. He was really impressive! He had a little wee-wee though i thought but the attention to detail was cool. He had a really big hand though. Shane heard these dudes saying "some people believe its the hand of god" and Shane goes "Maybe Michealangelo just fucked it up abit". No appreciation for art whatsoever but it was cute. We were not allowed to take photos of him but Ashleigh and I did anyways. You will all see them soon.

Anyways Most of Tuscany was completed in those four days except for a tiny couple of hours stop-over we did in Pisa to see the leaning tower while on our way to the Cinque Terra. It was pretty cool but Shane doesnt think anyone should be rewarded for making a stuff up in the construction industry. Ill show photos anyways.

Till next time...

Erin
