Off to Antigua for a Hot Roti!

Antigua's not one of my favorite islands, but is a great for a day stop, to visit the beach or two, visit some friends and family and a quick bite.

We start the day out by walking through town and scoping out the fruit and vegetable market...I found some ripe guavas and a mango or two to snack on!

So we head out to find a johnny cake and a chicken leg or two to pass out to the pups!

Ron always feels sorry for the hundreds of dogs that litter the street, sleeping under the taxi trying to find a piece of shade. So we head out to find a johnny cake and a chicken leg or two to pass out to the pups!

A quick stop to Bananas...a great little pizza place with a really neat stone terrace out back where you can sit and eat a slice. ( Ron doesn't enjoy my  enthusiam for ethnic food of any sort..poor soul!)

Next, we hope a cab and head out for the beach for a little R& R in the sun. We met a great driver this trip, and had some laughs hearing about the tourist lady he met last week, who invited him to New York!

After we are nicely red and  crispy, we head back to town for ROTI-KING roti! My favorite thing to do in all of Antiqua! ( see my review)

That pretty much wrapped up the day and off we were on to our next island hop!
