Trip to Rjukan

We spent a week in Rjukan Ice Climbing.  It is a truely beautiful place, the scenery is magnificant and I'd highly reccomend a visit even if you aren't into climbing or winter sports in general.

The one downside is that Norway is very expensive, especially for unhealthy things like alcohol, ciggarettes and sweets (all the fun stuff basically!)  We stayed in self catering accomodation though and managed to cook relatively cheaply by eating in.  It's definately not the place to go if you want to eat out or drink a lot!

The climbing is incredible, really varied routes and ice in good condition almost the whole time we were there.  Definately the place to go for a bit of ice climbing.

I'm really hoping to get back in the summer and then again next year for more winter sports excitement.
