Alyson and I went to Alicante for the weekend. We took a five hour train ride down the coast of spain. It was an adorable beach town. It was nice to excape the hustle and bustle of barcelona city life. Alicante was quiet and clean. The beach was beautiful and the weather was sunny and 80 degrees all three days. We visited the local vendor booths and grabbed drinks at a cafe near the harbor. The atmosphere was fun. The city was a little cheaper than barcelona and our hostel was in the perfect location. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to lay out and see a little culture too. The castle was fun and very cheap as well.
