We HAVE left home, so technically we are on the first leg of our journey. Today we drove 4 ½ hours from Golden to Kamloops, where our kitty Luna will be spending a one-month vacation. A-type Sara decided to make a list of everything we needed to pack for Luna. Now, one would think a cat does not need much – some food, litter box, maybe a toy or two. As it turned out, good thing for the list because it ended up with no less than TWENTY-EIGHT items. Heaven forbid we should have forgotten anything for Princess Luna. Spoiled kitty indeed!

Tomorrow we fly from Kamloops to Christchurch, with stopovers in Vancouver, Honolulu and Sydney. Hopefully the jet lag passes quickly as we are jumping into a 3-day hike (or tramp as the Kiwis say) right after we arrive. A little insane? Maybe – but you already knew we were…
