Merry Christmas everyone!!

We left Belize by bus and headed north into Mexico, we madea few stops on the way but pretty much headed straight to Cancun area with a one night stop in Playa Del Carmen before getting a ferry over to Isla Mujeres (Island of the Women) where we are going to be staying for a few weeks.

On Christmas Eve we went to meet Beckys Mom and Dad and we are having a great time, although there was no Turkey on Christmas Day but fresh fish and Nachos, and of course a Tequila!!  The beers in Mexico are going down a treat, but the Tequila is more expensive than it is back home (4GBP a shot in bars) so we have not had as much as I thought we would.

As Beckys Mom and Dad are here we have been staying in a really nice hotel right on the beach, and going to nice restaurants, so it will be a real shock when we go back to our more budget food options of not eating at a restaurant for 3 meals a day!

We are having such a nice time on this island, it will be very hard to leave. It is very beautiful and extremelly relaxing. We had a great night on New Years Eve. Went for a quick meal and then headed to the main square, where there was lots of beer and dancing. I think John and I managed to party on until about 4am and the next day had a great massage. Heading off to Tulum tomorrow - it has a lot to live up to so will let you know if it manages it.

Happy New Year to you all!!
