England: Heathrow

After partying all night with my friends on Reykjavik's Indepedence Day, I made it to Keflavik Airport with 20 minutes to spare.  It was only a 2.5 hour flight to London Heathrow; however, there was a 2.5 hour line to get through customs at the airport.  So that was a problem, because my transfer to Stansted Airport was an hour after I arrived, and, if I missed that transfer, I wouldn't make my flight to Bratislava.  Management explained that there was a 2.5 hour wait because 15 customs people called in sick as England were playing in the World Cup.  Good times!  Basically there were two customs agents for about two or three hundred visitors.  Anyway, the security person felt bad for me, and ushered me to the front of the line so I wouldn't miss my transfer.  Eventually I made it to Stansted Airport with plenty of time to make my flight to Bratislava.
