Jeffreys bay - Cinsta - Coffee bay ... the Wild Coast

Just picked up yesterday paper after a 10 days ...

In Durban at the minute to meet w/ sunscreen company about my cousin George's Hawaiian formula. And this place needs skin and shark protection.

Rule: Don't pee in the sea, the sharks will smell you.

Just out of the Transkei or the Wild Coast, The last Xhosa homeland to enter Republic of SA. And rightly so, the last of true South Africa is in existance here. Villages strone over the hills and children walking home from schools in uniforms heading back to straw roofed huts. How do they ever get their shirts so white?

Travelling w/ Western Auz boy, Gareth. I am safe he has dreads! In search of waves from the best right in the world - Jeffreys bay to shark waters of Durban in 1980 Datson Pulse. A real surf safari. Many laughs!

Surfed Coffee Bay and paddled out of the break to swim w/ amazing pod of dolphins. They were as curious as I was about the meeting - their communications were a buzz of long cherps and some clicks. Dolphins also mean no sharks! Local kids on beach had crayfish (small lobsters)to sell me for about 75 cents. yum! Counting my many blessings.

To describe this place, in a sentence: hot and cold water does not run from the same side of the sink. It is random. Red and blue indication does not always signify hot and cold water respectively.

..or Phrase: many on my trip are 'still using margarine on white bread'

So where does sunscreen 'fit in'?

NB: some parts of this journal entry will be duplicated because of my poor typing skills
