“Scientists found reports of cabin crew experiencing decreased cognitive performance and mental health problems, ... ” |
The title of the April 3rd 7days (one of the local papers) read Psychos in the skies. And right below was an article detailing the dangers of prolonged exposure to air travel. Mostly drivel so I will save you the time of reading the entire article and, instead, give you the highlights.
“New research claims frequent air travellers, such as Cabin Crew, who repeatedly take long-haul flights risk ill health and bouts of mental issues.”
“As well as the obvious jet lag encountered with crossing multiple time zones, an out-of-kilter body clock can trigger psychotic and mood disorders”. This statement MAKES ME VERY ANGRY!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! !!!!!!!!
“Scientists found reports of cabin crew experiencing decreased cognitive performance and mental health problems, including brief episodes of psychosis, [and a] loss of contact with reality- after reviewing 500 published articles on aviation and health.”
Honestly it is quite and easy job. One of the easiest I have ever had. The hours can be long, and strangely timed but all the roles that govern the amount of time that we are aloud to work make the job not particularly taxing. The average person works, what, 120 hours a week? And we average 90! I, honestly would work more if I were allowed. I have trouble filling all my free time!
