Well, this year the same conference was out west again, this time in Salt Lake City. Our son is still a dinosaur nut, so we looked for paleo-tourism around Utah. Unlike last year's trip, where finding dinosaurs took some driving, we found that you cannot tour Utah without tripping over the remains of prehistoric animals. We planned to rent a car again, but this time after the conference. This year, we visited many dinosaur sites in Salt Lake, including the research collection at the Utah Museum of Natural History, visited a museum and a dig site in eastern Utah, saw the wonders around Moab, Utah, visited a dinosaur museum and archeological sites (Mesa Verde) in the Four Corners area, and finally spent 3 days in Grand Junction, taking ceramic lessons at our bed & breakfast, and visiting the Museum of Western Colorado. We also got to experience our car-rental company's roadside assistance, and have some advice for those who may be trapped out in the desert, who find it difficult to communicate the situation to the call-center in Florida. All in all, another adventure.
