Fairwell Fair West Bengal

Hello from the Anoop.

Yesterday in Kalimpong was great. We spent more time wandering & even visited the Lepcha Museum where we were personally showed around by the Museum Owner/Curator /Interpreter/Designer - Fantastic! It was also market day so quite a while was spend admiring the goods & photographing (to please Jessica we had to walk by the fish section twice- yuck!)

We also managed to eat a few more veg momo's & secure a cab driver & arrange for him to pick us up bright and early for our long drive into Bagdogra. Since the drive took a lot less time then we had expected we had a lot of time to kill in the airport. We had tea and looked in the shops. We checked our bags & got felt up by the security guards (female naturally). We were inspected by the drug sniffing dog. We sat & sat & sat & sat... only to finally get on the plane & sit some more. But all in all it was a good flight & our trip back to Delhi & our hotel was almost completely without incident.

We found Hav & Scott and & with them, Heather and Jessica had an enjoyable stroll through town, pissing of cab drivers, tuk tuk drivers & bike riders by refusing to get our of the way or yield to their honks as we walked. After that we had a good supper at the roof top restaurant & stayed up late (its 1:30am here!) talking about travels.

Kathy didn't come for the walk & opted for an early dinner & bed because as it turns out she is not invincible. After a valiant effort she is starting to come down with the cold. She hopes that a good nights sleep will find her back at super power strength.
