Hi folks

After leaving the desert at Wadi Rum at 7.30am yesterday morning, a one hour drive to the ferry at Aqaba it took us till 8.30 pm to get to Egypt & the crossing was only 3 hours. The rest of the time was the joy that is customs, immigration, and pocket emptying that is travelling across borders in the Middle East.

Finally made it to the hotel at Dahab at 9.30 last night. Down to a bar for dinner & then danced the night away as today is a rest day.

Wish I could attach my photos but shall have to wait sorry team. Basically this place is like the Mt Maunganui of Egypt. Waterfront town with lots of shaded cafes right on the sand/water where you can laze & read & sink cold ones. Too good!! The fruit drinks are just lovely.

The plan for today is relax. Tomorrow I might go diving or snorkelling & then tomorrow night we climb Mt Sinai to watch the sunrise, sleep all day on the truck & roll into Cairo at silly oclock which is where I get off the tour.

Hope you are all well & wonderful. I cant wait to burn all my pics onto disk so I can then load them all onto this blog & you can see what Ive been up to.

Anyway. The beach & a cold drink is calling my name. Take care.

Love you all lots

XKT/Karls/Karlene

PS: SJ & Oli - I hear congrats are in order for Bianca & Andrew!! Great news.Give Bianca a hug from me. Hope you are both well! XKT
