Ko Tao is a Thai island located on the eastern shore of the Gulf of Thailand. Named by its first settlers for its turtle-like shape, Ko Tao also is also a breeding ground for Hawksbill and Green turtles. Ko Tao has over 150 bungalow-style resorts for travelers to visit. The island is known for its hiking, snorkeling, and most of all scuba diving.
