A small picturesque town in northwest Vietnam, Sapa is called “the Tonkinese Alps” because of its location on the Hoang Lien Son mountain range. Travelers marvel at the scenery of rice terraces and lush peaks. Some tourist points-of-interest include the Cat Cat Waterfall, Hmong’s Love Market, and Ham Rong peak with its prehistoric sites.
