The Old City of Guatemala is located in the Central Mountains of Guatemala, with three Volcanoes (Volcan de Aqua, Acatenango, and Volcn de Fuego) towering in the distance. You can see why this city, once the colonial capital of Guatemala, has been designated as a World Heritage Site by visiting historic churches, fountains, monuments and other ruins found in this area. Antigua Guatemala is also a popular place to attend Spanish Language school, as well as a great base for exploring the rest of Guatemala.
