So we arrived in Copenhagen and we went to the Dan hostels. On the way we had a big surprise about how many bikes are parked all along the streets. They seem to be really ecologist. Arriving at the hotel, the receptionist was unpleasant but anyway it was the cheapest place for Copenhagen (so we can't be difficult). We had to share our room with one Chinese guy (he was nice but I did not really like the fact that he walked in the room with only his pants on) and there were 3 Spanish guys (I was the only girl).
So we started our visit for the city centre. The cathedral was incredible and I like the Thermometer in the building (see picture). We walked along a big road and we arrive to a really nice port with a lot of restaurant. Unfortunately as we did not have a lot of money, we ate at the burger king and after we bought a Danish beer and we drank it at the port. We got back home but we were a bit afraid because it is not that illuminated the streets. It is like one red lamp in the middle of the street. I still think that it is for an ecologic reason that they do that.
The day after, we woke up really early. And we had another big surprise. People go at work by bikes. But it is not just one or two but about thousand. It was just incredible.
After, we took a tourist boat to see the main things to see in Copenhagen. The monuments were interesting (unfortunately in this travel I couldn't really learn something historic or cultural because we just walked and watch).
We saw the little mermaid (which is the most important and tiny monument of Copenhagen). After, we tried the Danish specialties. The black bread toast.
It is a toast with stuff like prawn or cucumber or other stuffs on it. It is really good.
On the afternoon we walked to see the monument better and we went to the castle. On the way we found two tourist bikes (we were looking for that as it is bike who works as a"caddie". You put a coin and you can have it. When you have finish with it you just put it back and you recuperate your coin. It is a wonderful idea). The thing is there was no coins in it and I think somebody left it 1 minute ago, so we just took it (no we did not steal it as it is available for anybody who founds one) and we started to visit Copenhagen by bike. It is complicated as there are a lot of bikes there so there are rules as well for that and we were not used to it.
After this nice tour we got back to our hotel to have a rest. We got out again for the night to have another beer.
The day after, we woke up early because we had a train to take to go to Berlin. (It was a long way, about 7 hours and we had to change at Hamburg)
