Lake Titicaca and the small town of Copacabana is home to the highest lake in the world, the most hippies you will see anywhere in Bolivia and the most delicious trout you could ever ask for. It is a great place to go to chill out, walk breathlessly at altitude and meet Dutch students ready to interview you on whether you are a tourist or a pilgrim!

The Bolivian gang, which is Jac, Chris, Aofie, Catherine, Pod and I walked 17km to the harbour where for 10 pounds we caught a boat to the Isla del Sol ( the birth place of the Inca mythology). It was a great walk along the lake and when we got to the Island we climbed to the top. With lungs and bodies practically collapsing through altitude and hunger we found a great restaurant and guest house. We chilled out with a bottle of wine and the most fantastic view you could ask for.

Our last night as a a group and then back to the cute town of Copacabana for more wine, stories and the promise between Chris and Jac that they will be having a baby this year. The next day we left the different and often wonderful Bolivia and crossed into Peru where we parted our ways to meet again sometime soon.

P.S- Pod saw a twister which impressed him greatly!
