“We were too tired to socialise after our really fun day!!!!!” |
Today we had arranged to meet with Stephen and Linda (Mummy and daddy dayus friends). They picked us up at 10 am and we did a little sight seeing which was really really good!! Firstly we went to the Narabeem Lakes..the water is really shallow all over the lake. You can walk all over it! People fish and kayak there!! We then went to look at Palm beach, it was beautiful but the horrible weather ruined it a little!! We went to a place called Barrenjoey, where sea planes take of and land..the views were spectacular!! We then drove through a national park where koala's live!! Stephen and Linda were so helpful, explaining where we were and what goes on in certain places, etc etc!!
We went for lunch at a restaurant called the Buddah's Belly...where their eldest daughter Chloe works!! The food was so yummy!! Bex had a soy chicken and sprout salad and Saz had duck and coconut rice!! The pudding chef as a bit of a thing for Linda so made us masses of mango brulee and white chocolate cheese cake!! We all left feeling as though we were about to explode!!
Sophie (their middle child) had kindly invited us to a football match (rugby league) at Brookvale Oval. It was Manly Sea gulls...vs. New Zealand Warriors!! Her boyfriend plays for Manly!! We met her at the stadium and got in line for our tickets..this took forever!! We bought the cheapest ones available as Brodie (their youngest son) was security there for one of the stands..so we were able to get good seats anyways!!!!
We spent most of the game trying to figure out the rules, as its very different to home!!! But still, we really enjoyed ourselves!! The final result was 13-10 to Manly!!! Everytime they scored a different song played and the cheer leaders got up and did a little wiggle!! It was very funny!!!!!
After the match Sophie took us all back to their house!! We chatted for a while and then Stephen and Linda dropped us back!!! They are such a nice family, really kind and friendly too!!!!
We've arranged to go round there for supper on tuesday!! Cant wait!!!!
Even though we'd eaten so much that day we decided we could eat some more!! So Bex went on a big mission...bringing back..pranws and dip, spring rolls, prawn toasts and a bbq pizza!!! We managed to polish off the lot!!!!
We went upstairs and had a drink each....played some cards and came downstairs to have a play on the computers!!
