I took the Greyhound bus from Miami to Clearwater. Quite a long ride (though not the longest), but all in all it was really ok. Seats are comfortable, quite a few stops along the way to streach up.

In Clearwater, I met a guy who calls himself Jesus-Fish. He was quite a preacher at the beginning, but he was a nice guy. He accompanied me to the Clearwater Beach hostel and I accompanied him to the beach, where he slept. He introduced me to his homeless friends over there, and one of them even played a tape with songs in Hebrew (what a small world..).

Other than that, nothing really happens in Clearwater Beach. There are one or two pubs, some resturants, Subway (....), a small video games place, a place that sells ice cream (note: ice cream melts really really fast in wind (-: ). So a BBQ night at the hostel was a real saviour. The hostel also has some movies and a TV (of course) so you can also spend a night with the other guys, watching a movie, once you've had enough walking in this 3 blocks wide "island".

The hostel also has some bikes you can rent (don't bother taking the helmet if you don't plan to use it - they have to offer it, but they'll understand if you refuse). I rode south to the next "island" over the really long brige - its really hard to climb it, but once you've made it, the going down part is just pure fun (just watch for the pedestrian that might be walking there). And in the evening you can take a basketball, or ping-pong bats and some friends from the hostel and take a walk to the Recreation Center (which is just a hundred meters away).

In short, Clearwater Beach is a really good place to relax untill you just..... feel like you want something to happen...
