We are staying in a hotel on Cathedral Square. It is a beautiful city I suppose a cross between Dublin and Exeter. It even has its own river Avon on which you can punt - all very homely.
Spent two days enjoying life in a small city as well as the comforts of a shower attached to the room and not in a block a short walk away! We also decided to eat out a bit and treat ourselves to very nice dinners on our three evenings.
We visited the art centre, sunbathed in the btanical gardens, popped into the cathedral and drank beer in the afternoon- the ultimate holiday priviledge. Christchurch is a very pretty city- small enough to walk around in a day, but large enough to have shops on more than one street!
Of course, Jo has had the added pressure. Not only concentrating on crossing roads, but trying to be aware of trams cutting across the square!
