I'd have to say that our experience at this campground was not very good. First of all, we paid up front. The clues were there, but we didn't heed the warning and were out the $20.03 it cost for a single night of camping .The first clue was when the desk clerk handed me back my credit card and said that the fee was non refundable. The second clue was the sign that said, "We water from 0830-1600 daily, please put all of your camping gear inside your tent" I'm assuming many a camper has returned to find every thing drenched. Note: We didn't stick around long enough to find out. So we try to make the best of it, after all we just drove 4 hours to get here and we were hungry and tired and well, ready to enjoy a couple days exploring. So we set up our tent, unloaded everything from the vehicle and started a fire to cook dinner. I started looking around and there were not many signs that anyone has camped here recently, the grass was very tall. The picnic tables were in need of repair and there were above sprinklers and upon further inspection ground set sprinklers. I thought, it will be okay it's only for two nights. So I headed over to the women's restroom and shower area to check out things. Well, by the time I returned to our campsite, my boyfriend wanted to know why I had this look on my face and my eyeballs were popping out of my skull. I had to describe to him that the restroom was not in very good shape, the floors had a couple inches of standing stagnate water on them and I had to wade to use the facilities, the whole place was pretty disgusting. The men's restroom was closed, a sign said that there was one across the canyon. He sent me back with the digital camera...yes I have pictures. At this point we decide to put the brand new air mattress in the tent. Only to discover the ground was covered in goatheads. If you are not from the desert southwest, you may not have had the pleasure of these spiny hard wood "spikes" that will puncture everything from air mattresses to low ply car tires. We just looked at each other and said, okay we need to start packing something to place between the ground and the air mattress. Noted. WE then decide to make dinner and that we should seek a hotel for the night. I took the tent down and loaded things back into the truck. Yay. A couple people have now driven through to look at the campground before paying up for the night. They never returned. (We drove by this place a couple of times while in the area and never did see anyone tent camping) We eat dinner and decide nope, not coming back to White's City RV Park.
