Arriving at Capitol Reef after another wonderful car journey we visited the National Park Office and took advice as to what to do that afternoon. A short visit to 12,000 year old petroglyphs (ancient rock drawings) and then a two hour hike to Hickman Bridge (the natural kind not man-made) where we followed a printed guide which highlighted points of interest (relieving any guilt felt for not schooling the boys today) along the way. Again the weather was wonderful, mid 60's, not a breath of wind, cloudless sky and we returned to our lodgings for the night to celebrate our wedding anniversary (8 years.....and they all gave it 2 maximum), with the boys in the only (and surprisingly nice) restaurant in Torrey, tonight's 2-bit town.

"in the only (and surprisingly nice) restaurant in Torrey" How about Cafe Diablo, Capitol Reef Inn, Wonderland and the Rim Rock just for starters!
