Drove down to Cape Cod next morning after picking up the rental car. Its a trip back in time and a trip into the very beating heart of WASP America. Very pretty and manicured place.
We had a great house with a private beach and seashore you could wade out in and which the kids adored. First morning there me and Charlie down to the beach for 6am and lots of relaxing fun. Great beaches, fantastic food to barby and very safe.
Went to P-town (where I had been before but thats a different story..) and walked around there and had lobster sarnies on the beach. Travelled to a bunch of different beaches (including Dennis which was stunning) and explored the place a bit. People were genuinely nice and friendly and not in that forced Californian way.
And brill for the kids to get time with their gandparents.
