Tequila Sunrise on the beach

27.01.06 Had a quick swim then drove down to Campeche. Got to our hotel. Campeche is a quaint colonnial town right on the coast. We had a walk along the seafront and found a bar. We had a tequilla sunrise and a few beers, which was accompanied by some free side dishes. Watched the sunset before heading back down the coast to the main square where we treated ourselves to a seafood dinner and a bottle of vino tinto. Jess' red snapper caught the attention of everyone in the restuarant as it was HUGE!! This was all courtesy of Chris & Jen as a birthday present for Jess.

28.01.06 We spent the day exploring the town and its sights. There was a school concert in the main square that night. There were lots of stalls and people milling about.

29.01.06 We drove back to Merida and visited Uxmal on the way. The most impressive building was the palacio del gobernador. We chilled by the pool that afternoon before going to mass.
