This restaurant has always been my favorite in a street full of great fish restaurants.  When I first came to Tenerife 20 years ago this village had already become "the" place to eat fresh fish, and it still is.  Almost every building on the Promenade is a restaurant, although over the years they have changed, and are not all fish restaurants now.

It isn't the best location, although it is almost "in" the sea, and you can watch the boats bobbing about in the tiny harbor, there are a couple with better views, but for combination of food and view, this is the best of the original restaurants.  The owner has had a knack of changing with the times too.  It remained successful when others closed.

Los Abrigos is famous for one dish, really, White Fish (of any type) cooked plainly in olive oil and garlic, with salad and "Papas Arrugadas" - Wrinkled Potatoes (these are boiled in their skins, and then carefully cooked without water so that the copious amounts of salt used absorb and adhere to them), all dipped in Canarian, Mojo Sauce if you prefer - red is spicy, often "very" spicy, and the green sauve.  Done wrong it is boring, but done right it is simple, fresh and delicious, and at the Vista Mar it is always right.  I must have been dozens and dozens of times now, and never been let down.  It also has the best choice of fish/seafood tapas for starters, or just for tapas. Today we had grilled sardines and chopitos ...tiny squid, fried in a little flour, crispy and yummy, but they had oysters, gambas, mussels (done in a variety of ways), mushrooms....well a whole, huge display from which to choose. You choose your fish too, so you can pick the bright-eyed, freshest one.

The service was great, attentive and friendly, not formal.  I can't comment on value because the bill wasn't mine this time.

It's hard to recommend restaurants on this street, because they are all so good, there is, literally, one for every night of the week!
