I woke up very early this morning. At about 5.30am, I am already awake... lounge around in my bed and officially woke up at 6am. Wow! I can't even remember when was the last time I woke up at 6am and wasn't yawning...
The sun shines brightly since 5.30am... I guess that the day is longer here in POA. I leisurely washed my face and got myself hook up to KL office network. Had a brief chat with colleagues there and check some mails. I was so energised this morning that I went to the gym and had a short run. FYI, this is the first time I stayed in a hotel where I need to pay BR28 for the use of the gym. Well, I would say that it is a rip off! Anyway, I needed the run to further energised myself.
Took a shower and changed to got down to get my breakfast. Well, as I thought it would be, the breakfast spread was a total dissappointment. I don't eat red meat and the only thing I found myself fond with was the scrambled egg (that was scrambled 5X more than usual) with Tabasco (which I added). I didn't know scrambled egg can taste so good compared to other food I had... Had some fruits and drank a yogurt smoothie.. and ready to meet my driver to get to the office.
The journey from Sheraton POA to Souza Cruz POA is damn far OK. It was almost an hour drive out from city to the highway. It is almost like driving from Ampang to Rawang. The production factory is located in a very secluded industrial area where there is nothing much to enjoy along the way. But, the scenery to the office was breathtaking... green and peaceful.
The factory itself is huge. From far, you can already see the famous BAT leaf standing strong. There is a lake along the drive from the grand entrance to the lobby... and some conservation project on the left. The lobby is impressive.. big and structured with good security. I was standing there for 10 minutes to get the security to confirm I am not a terrorist... =/
I was sent to Souza Cruz reception and waited for my colleague to pick me. Miriam came after 5 minutes and we walked to GSD office... It is almost 1km from the reception - some corner office area within the huge factory. The walk was good as there is a nice sun and great weather.. cool and sunny.
Went into GSD office... and met many familiar faces. I am so excited to finally see people whom I have known through emails and calls etc. Everyone was nice and they brought me to the canteen to get some food for lunch. Well, talk about lunch, I need to start commenting. First, the rice was OK because I didn't mix it with the Black Bean gooey thingy. Second, the lime juice really taste like lime juice, which is OK too. The maincourse was bad - I had a small little pork with salad and VERY VERY VERY sweetened pumpkin... bwekks!! Anyway, that kept me full until I left office at about 4.30pm.
The ride back to hotel was quite OK but I was sleepy.. nearly fell asleep. Now, I am in the hotel, waiting for Joel and Kanchan to arrive. We will have a gathering dinner with the bunch of people from POA office later at 7pm.. I hope I will have a good meal and great time hanging out with them. Tomorrow I will have more interesting thing to share as I will be at Gramado... somewhere really romantic I heard... =)
Bye for now
PS: by the way, I am nose bleeding now... =( The weather is rather dry than humid and my nose just so dry and painful...
Rgds,
Christina
