TRAVEL BLOG ENTRY

We left the Boston area on Saturday morning, heading home. We took a different route home. We decided to go across upper New York State, through Syracuse, Rochester and Buffalo, on to Erie and Cleveland, then down to Columbus and Cincinnati.
This is the route to take! Beautiful scenary all the way across Mass. and NY. Mountains and rivers, deep valleys and small towns all the way. A bonus was going through Springfield, Mass -- home of the basketball Hall of Fame. Yes, Kevin and I were "allowed to visit" for about 2 hours. It was great.
We hit the road again and about 1 1/2 hours later, there was the sign for Cooperstown. The Baseball Hall of Fame. I felt tears well up in my eyes and the final scene from Field of Dreams began playing in my mind. Alas, it was not be. Cooperstown was too far off the main road for us to stop.
I was sad, Kevin was beside himself, but we vowed to return.
The road actually bypasses the cities so you don't go through any traffic. We stopped just outside of Buffalo for the night and prepared for our final day.
