Well, i´m finally in Buenos Aires for Christmas after nearly 4 weeks travelling around northern Argentina...
After Salta and Mendoza, visited Cordoba, Argentina´s 2nd city, for a few days & then last week arrived here in Buenos Aires. What can I say, Buenos Aires is pretty damn cool. Apart from being VERY hot at the moment (which is nice!) the place is very spacious & actually quite European in a Paris kinda way. It boasts the world´s widest road, which I counted at 10 lanes each way. Crossing the road is a bit tricky though as you just don´t know when the walking man signal is going to turn red (it´s only a definite "Walk" for about 10secs before it starts flashing red for the next 20-30 secs) so the sight & sound of 10 rows of cars merely 20 yards to your left revving their engines like something out of Daytona (i´m sure just for their own personal amusement) tends to encourage me to jog!
My dad arrives tomorrow morning to spend Christmas with me, so i´m really looking forward to that & to showing him a good time. Going to take him down to Patagonia (more mountains etc) for a week & also finally get around to exploring this city in a more mature manner!
