buenos the second time around

well here i am again - buenos aires the biggining of all my south america. a circle has closed for me - the circle of argentina and chile, the circle of the south.... at first i planned to come here and stay for a long time - really study spanish, but then i realized - i´m going to brazil where they speek portugize, and i´ll probably forget most of what i learned. so plans changed and i´ll maybe study in bolivia, but for now i´m in buenos aires trying to sell my tent and spend my time realxing....

so as allways the first day is spent finding an hostel and trying to get some sleep that we didn´t get on the bus - we found a hostel but as it goes it didn´t really let us sleep at all. it was a place filled with israelis (allready a problem, but one that you can´t avvoid in beunos aires), but they were druged israelies (not my kind of people...) and to top it all we got the room that is on the main street and that it´s windows wont close - so sleeping was impossible.... that left us with searching for a new hostel for tomorrow... after a long search we found a great hostel not far from ours with great people - it´s called km 0 backpuckers, on rivadavia 1587!!! the staff is so nice and helpful - they´re just great!!! and the guestes are also really nice people.... so now that we have an hostel it´s time to eat - and where also then an all you can eat place? great place to bad we were so full we couldn´t move for 3 hours... later neta and i went with sharon and reut to a disco called asia de cuba - nice place, not so great place and very very crowded... i really got clastrophobic in there - you have no place to move and dance at all, and to top that`people that you don´t know wont stop touching you in a very unapropriate manner!!!! so after not too long (2 hours) we went back to try and sleep....

the next day, friday, i spent trying to get some sleep - which i didn´t really get a chance to becauase it was a memorial day and all the time there was a parade in the plaza underneath our hostel.... and at night we went to a shabat dinner at the israeli pub called the barduck - great food, just like back home... and it was so nice to hear a kidush again!!!! had a great time!!!! and again went to sleep.

it´s sabado, and all the great markets are today and tommorow - so we went to la boca - a very colorful nighberhood that has tango shows on thew streets and a really nice market as well... after that we went to the retiro it´s anopther market for fake cloths and stuff - very cheep, too bad we didn´t find it so we went back to the hostel and cooked dinner for meytal and me (neta ate on a stop in florida street...)

sunday and the markets are still on - the 3 of us and inbal (a girl from the hostel) went to san telmo another market, alsop nice... well they are all very nice!!! and after that to los metadores - a locals market, no turists except us.... from there to the abasto - a huge shopping mall in the jewish nighberhood called once... inbal and neta satyed for a movie, while meytal and me went back to the hostel again to cook dinner.... after dinner we went out with 2 more people we met that day moria and omer, to a nice pub called tazz, in plaza serano at palermo - great place all full of pubs!!! had a great time... played some pool....

monday we went to the zoo (yes yes no more markets for now...) at lujan - it´s a zoo where you can pet tigers and lions and animls of all kinds. it is said that the animls are druged - i don´t really now but it was great petting a huge tiger!!!! after that i got a headache and went to sleep....

tuesday i felt sick allready, had a running nose and soar throat, and a bit of a headache - so all i did was a plesure day - went to a beauty sallon and painted my hair red, had a manicure and padicure!!!! had a great relaxed day with meytal!!!!

the next day we went shopping on florida street - firls will be girls... and to tell the truth didn´t have much that we wanted to do in buenos and havn´t done yet.... and that was all we did that day....

thursday we just spent in the hostel at the reception with rodrigo that tried to help us study some spanish... and was all for that day....

friday we went to cordoba street to the outlet stores - shopping like allways... after that we went to refael´s place - a colombian student here that is letting omer stay at his place. we cooked for him and his roomate - we had a great dinner.... and went to sleep....

sabado again!!!! we went to tigre - a really nice town outside buenos aires that is also called little venis - because of a canal it has going thru it... we took a boat ride on the canal -  had a nice time... after that we went to a very nice market they had there (ya ya another market... waisting money all the time....) and then it was allready very late and we were very tired so we went back to buenos aires with out going in to  the huge amuzment park that there is there... never mind we had a great TIME!!!! we were 8 people all friends of rafael - it´s so amizing to see how friendly he is... he speeks great english, and also hebrew - he stayed in a kibutz in israel and he´s not even jewish!!! we just all had a great time... later that night omer, rafael, meytal and me went to a disco called opera bay - a very good place, huge with 5 difrrent kinds of music floors -it was really good, too bad i was so tirewd i got a headache and went back to the hostel after 2 hours, anmd didn´t dance at all....

on sunday we slept late and did nothing at all again - just relaxing infront of the tv, and with the hostel people... later at night we went out to palermo again, to tazz again but this time owen, peter, brham, efrat, meytal and me (all guys from the hostel...) had the best time drinking and talking... and when we got back all the guys from the hostel sta together and started drinking mate and playing the giturre.... had a great time!!!! stayed up till 7 am!!!!

and that brings me to today, monday, again didn´t do anything spaciel... just a bit of a beauty treatment and internet time.... and on wendsday we are leaving to go to brazil!!!! so updates will come later on... even that tomorrow we also plan to do nothing, maybe some shopping again... see next time in the iguasu falls!!!!

....well it´s wendsday now and in 4 hours i´m leaving this place. as you allready understood i spent the days doing nothing and the nights going out with all the guys - last night we went out 17 people!!!!! all the guys from the hostel - it´s seems that today is the day that we all leave benos, or at least most of, so we had to celebrate.... we went dancing and had the best time!!!!

so to sum my secon time up - it´s allways al about the people. and this time i met the best people i could meet - because of all of them i had the best time here!!! it´s a bit sad to say goodbye - but as we all know this trip is all about goodbyes - and it is about time to move on - so thank you all for everything, and i do hope we´ll meet again, and if we don´t - have the best timeyou can have and make more people happy like you made me....
