Totally hungover and its about 38c.... feel like err... dying! Manage to shower and get onto the bus Donna & me are in desperate need of coke & chocolate.. the bus is so hot & i concentrate on respiration to ease the sickness feeling!
We get to 80 Mile Beach and quickly buy some junk food then wander down to the beach, its so long... about 80 miles I'd say hehe! White sand & milky aqua sea, there's loads of shells & jellyfish on the beach, also Sand Dollar shells like in CA. We get back on the bus and drive drive drive drive drive... til Broome.
We get into Broome about 4ish and have a wander down the street, the place is full of drunk aboriginies shouting stuff I don't understand, one grabs my arms and shakes me blahing on about someat.
We get outta town & go to Cable Beach for a swim & wander on the beach,I'm so glad I'm stopping here and not in town its much nicer. The boys get lil jellyfish stings in there boardies & its hilarious watching em walk off twitching.
Graham takes us now upto Guanthaume Point, its beautiful the sea is pure aqua and looks gorgeous next to the rich red rocks. We watch the sunset & drink champagne then get dropped off at our hostel in Cable Beach. Its a great hostel really relaxed, Steve is the manager he's got boardies & dreads & Wardy is his help, tall shaved head & boardies. They both really friendly & relaxed. I bump into Kerry & Alistair who are waiting to go to the airport, so catch up with them. Its the sweatiest place in the world, the shower block is like a turkish bath, think after 2wks here I'll be lost a stone in sweat, its just running off me like a river!
Everyone meets back at 7 to head into town on the bus & go for a end of trip meal at The Roey. I have Chicken Tikka salad and its the nicest salad ever. We stay there drinking til late watching a local band & some locals dancing, who are obviously a few slates short of a roof... very odd folk!
Pretty much spend 2wks at Cable Beach swimming, relaxing & reading. Its a great place to chill out before my Kimberleys trip. I get stung nearly everyday by the damned jellyfish & breakout into a heat rash after sweating for 3days.
On Saturday night theres a big beach party everyone goes to, there's a huge fire & didgeredoo & guitar playing. Its quite sedate people just sittin aroung laughin talking & drinkin, the perfect evening.
